Mr Nesbitt works as part of the group of major trauma consultants at Manchester Foundation Trust and works closely with the team in his specialist area reconstructing traumatically injured limbs. In his elective practice he treats bone infection, limb length discrepancy and deformity as well as salvage surgery for the complications of trauma.
Mr Paul Nesbitt is a Consultant Trauma and Limb reconstruction surgeon in Manchester in the North of England. He trained at the University of Manchester and then completed his higher surgical training in the Northwest before undertaking Fellowship Training at Leeds Limb Reconstruction Unit and a short period in Tygerberg South Africa. His practice encapsulates major traumatic injuries of the lower limb, lower limb deformity, length discrepancy and chronic bone infection. He is one of the highest volume circular frame frame Surgeons in the UK and as part of the Manchester Limb Reconstruction unit at Manchester Royal Infirmary treats over 100 open fractures per year. Mr Nesbitt is one of only a handful of surgeons in the UK using transverse cortical tibial transport (TTT) surgery to treat patients and is the only surgeon using this to treat vascular ulceration and claudication pain. In conjunction with the vascular team in Manchester, Mr Nesbitt is the surgeon within the only multi-disciplinary team offering this pioneering treatment in the UK.

Mr Nesbitts' NHS practice is within the Manchester limb reconstruction unit based at Manchester Royal Infirmary, Manchester UK. Here the team offer a comprehensive limb reconstruction service as well treating bone infection and limb defomrity and length discrepancy.
